Travelling with Riders of Different Levels or Non-Riders

Not everyone travelling together rides, and not everyone who rides is at the same level. That does not need to stop you booking a horse riding holiday together. Our riding holidays can be a great choice for families, couples, groups of friends and anyone travelling with people who have different interests.

Many of our riding centres, lodges and trail riding bases are well suited to mixed groups, with flexible riding programmes and plenty to do beyond the saddle. Depending on where you choose to ride, non-riders might enjoy cultural visits, vineyard tours, cycling, walking, art, yoga, museums, wildlife experiences or simply relaxing and enjoying the destination.

If your group includes riders of different abilities, there are often options to split into groups according to experience, so everyone can enjoy riding at a pace that suits them. You might also choose to spend some days together and others doing your own thing, giving everyone the freedom to make the most of their holiday.

And being a non-rider does not mean missing out on the adventure. We can recommend destinations where the activities beyond riding are just as exciting, from exploring local culture and landscapes to discovering great food, wine and history. Even keen riders often enjoy having a day away from the saddle to try something different.

Whether you are travelling as a family, a group of friends, a couple with different interests or a larger mixed group, just let us know what everyone is looking for. We can recommend the perfect horse riding holiday, making sure the riders get fantastic riding while everyone else has plenty to enjoy too.
